Today, Microsoft explained that 1.5 million Windows Phone 7 handsets have been sold to channel distributors. This is a very different number than what channel partners have sold to consumers. It's my understanding that those numbers are not yet available -- from any channel distributer. Additionally, you are making the assumption that Microsoft will sell 1.5 million handsets every 30 days -- the market is simply not that predicable or stable.

Microsoft has a massive hill to climb. Both Android and iPhone are gaining while Microsoft losses market share. Not to mention that -- according to Mary Meeker of Morgan Stanley -- most people are accessing the mobile Internet from an iPhone (44%) and Google ($42%). Microsoft is enjoying a very small 2%.

Now you couple the poor execution of Windows Phone 7 with the absence of a Microsoft Tablet and a disastrous Kin marketing plan -- you have both consumer and prosumer doubting Microsoft's mobile road map. On the mobile front Microsoft is simply losing the battle.

Ramon B. By comparison, the first generation iPhone had sales of 6 million in the first year, and it took Google 6 months to sell the first million Android devices. Measured in this way, Windows Phone 7 is on a trajectory to significantly exceed the sales of iPhones and Android phones at similar stages of their marketing.

Re: Vator.TV Makes a Big Splash in the Big Apple

Thanks so much Ramon!

Re: CLOSED – Giveaway: Enter to Win a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook from T-Mobile – CLOSED

my favorite thing about T-Mobile is that they care about their customers

Re: CLOSED – Giveaway: Enter to Win a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook from T-Mobile – CLOSED

Like the Apple slam ads!

Re: CLOSED – Giveaway: Enter to Win a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook from T-Mobile – CLOSED

They are simple the best.

Re: CLOSED – Giveaway: Enter to Win a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook from T-Mobile – CLOSED

M y T-mobile service is friendly always ready to tackle any questions you may have on phone trouble or billing. To be honest, my favorite thing about T-Mobile is the T-Mobile team. If I need help for anything, I can always reach them. I can call 611 or chat via the web or just visit a T-Mobile store.
My greatest experience was when I was in Times Square, NY. I was running out of battery life because my MyTouch 3G Fender and I were touring New York City via great Android apps like Sherpa and Google Maps Navigation. I stopped into a T-Mobile store and asked if I could recharge. Without even a look, they walked me over to their demo area and plugged in my phone. I hung out, looked at new phones, and talked to the team. After about 30 minutes, I grabbed my phone and said goodbye. Off to tour some more!
Things like this may be small to a company, but to a lifelong customer, they are what keep me with T-Mobile.

Re: CLOSED – Giveaway: Enter to Win a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook from T-Mobile – CLOSED

The thing I love about T-mobile is the price of the entire phone plan, and the texting. It's much cheaper than most of the other services that are available around where I live, so it's much easier to deal with. Also with the texting, I don't talk on the phone much so with my limited minutes, I'm able to text freely to anybody as much as I'd like (and mobile IMs help too) Even with international texting is a plus. It doesn't cost a lot of money and that's great.

Re: CLOSED – Giveaway: Enter to Win a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook from T-Mobile – CLOSED

One of my favorite things about T-Mobile is the family allowances.
